Gardenia Professor Pucci
Gardenia 'Professor Pucci' is a beautiful and fragrant cultivar of Gardenia jasminoides, prized for its large, double flowers and glossy green foliage. This evergreen shrub is named after Professor Giuseppe Pucci, an Italian horticulturist known for his work with Gardenias.
Gardenia are excellent in Southern Australian states of Victoria and NewSouth Wales when planted in semi shaded areas. Companion plant with Gardenia radicans and Euphorbia with low Dichondra silver falls at the base. Looks awesome
Professor Pucci' typically grows to around 1-1.5 meters in height, with a similar spread. It has dark green, leathery leaves that provide an attractive backdrop for its showy flowers. The flowers are double and white, with a rich, intoxicating fragrance that is highly prized in perfumery.
To grow Gardenia 'Professor Pucci', plant it in a sunny to partially shaded position in well-draining, acidic soil. Gardenias prefer consistently moist soil and benefit from regular watering, especially during dry periods. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain its shape and encourage new growth. With its beautiful flowers and heavenly fragrance, 'Professor Pucci' is a delightful addition to any garden.
