Azalea White Dragon

A very hardy new Azalea variety. Small glossy dark green leaves and low spreading habit. Large single white flowers are produced in spring. Also spot flowers in autumn and winter.

Will grow in full sun or part shade with Summer watering. Hardy once established. Plant in a well drained, humus-rich soil that’s slightly acidic. Fertilize in Spring and late Summer with an Azalea specific fertiliser or a complete organic fertiliser. Prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape. Mulch well during extended dry periods. If flowers are turning mushy this could be a sign of Azalea Petal Blight. Pick off any spent flowers and treat with appropriate fungicides. Known as the 'Landscaping Azalea’. Use as a mass planting edging or bed filling plant. Great in pots in courtyards or entertaining areas. Very good for underplanting pleached or standard plants.
