Ajuga Reptans, commonly known as Bugleweed, is a versatile groundcover plant that offers both beauty and functionality in garden landscapes. With its low-growing habit and spreading nature, it forms dense mats of attractive foliage.

The leaves are typically dark green, but there are also cultivars with bronze, burgundy, or variegated foliage, adding visual interest to the garden. In spring, Bugleweed produces spikes of small, tubular flowers in shades of blue, purple, pink, or white, attracting bees and butterflies.

It thrives in moist, well-drained soil and prefers partial shade, although it can tolerate some sun. Bugleweed is an excellent choice for filling in gaps between stepping stones, suppressing weed growth, or adding texture and color to borders, woodland gardens, or rockeries. With its hardiness and easy care requirements, Ajuga reptans is a reliable and beautiful addition to any garden.
Plant it in well-drained soil in a partially shaded area. Keep the soil consistently moist, and it will thrive as a ground cover with its attractive foliage and colorful flowers.

Best planted in full sun or partial shade. Grows to 80cm wide and 10-15cm tall.
