Magnolia Grandiflora Kay Parris

Magnolia Grandiflora Kay Parris is a beautiful compact evergreen small tree with dark glossy green large leaves with a slight wavy edge to the leaf. The underside of the leaf is a vibrant velvety brown. It produces large white fragrant flowers usually in summer/autumn but will flower through-out the year.

Magnolia 'Kay Parris' is a hybrid magnolia cultivar that belongs to the Magnoliaceae family. It is a cross between Magnolia macrophylla and Magnolia 'White Rose'. 'Kay Parris' was first developed in the United States in the 1980s. 

It makes a fantastic hedge / screen or a lovely specimen tree and will grow well in a large tub.

Magnolia Kay Parris will to 4mts tall and 2mts wide in the first 10 years and can potentially grow bigger. The great thing about this magnolia is its ability to respond to pruning if required.

It likes full sun and well drained soil. It will take dry periods if mulched well. (Don’t over water). Frost hardy and will stand up to Australian summers.
