Lavender Dentata (French Lavender) has grey green foliage with a beautiful serrated edge. Slightly perfumed with lilac flowers in spring. Grows to 1mt tall and wide, Best grown in a sunny position in fertile well drained soil, Prune after floering to maintain dense, compact growth. Ideal for cut flower arrangements.
Lavender Dentata has gray-green foliage and produces spikes of purple flowers in the summer. It is often grown in herb gardens, as well as in rock gardens, borders, and containers. It is also commonly used in aromatherapy and as a culinary herb. Lavender Dentata is relatively pest- and disease-resistant, but it can be susceptible to root rot if the soil is too wet. To prevent this, make sure the soil has good drainage. Watch out for aphids, spider mites, and other common garden pests, and treat them promptly if necessary.
Lavender Dentata is drought-tolerant once established and does not like to be overwatered. Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Does not need much fertilizer. You can apply a balanced fertilizer in the spring, but be careful not to over-fertilize, as this can lead to leggy growth and fewer flowers.
