Grevillea Royal Mantle

Grevillea Royal Mantle is a hardy ground cover with beautiful coppery red foliage. Our display gardens at online plants, use Grev. royal mantle to great effect on a steep slope where nothing else would thrive. 

Spectacular spring/summer flowering, the deep red flowers attract a plethora of native birds.  The advantage of planting royal mantle is its hardy, drought tolerance and semi-rambling habit.  Although it spreads to 5-6mt, it be as high as 30-40cm. 

Dark red toothbrush-type flowers are borne terminally on short branch-lets. The red styles have conspicuous yellow stigmas.

Very hardy once established, provides a natural mulching effect in the garden.  Prefers a full sun position, but will still thirve in partial sun, although may not flower as well in the shade.

Will benefit from feeding twice per year with a native plant food.
