A strong upright, vibrant Kangaroo Paw species, which is one of the online plants most popular Anigozanthos.
Intense orange/red flowers reminiscent of a lava flow. Like all Kangaroo Paw, they grow best in well-drained, almost sandy soil, only use low phosphorous fertilizer such as Debco Native Plant Food. Plant in full sun to help avoid black ink spot, which can occur in this native species.
Flowers all year round, with the main flush in spring and summer. Grows to around 80cm in height and 50cm in width.
To grow Anigozanthos Bush Volcano, plant it in well-draining soil and a sunny location. Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Apply a low-phosphorus fertilizer during the growing season. Remove spent flowers and prune in late winter or early spring. Protect from frost.
