The toughest of all climbing roses. Smothered in yellow frilled blooms in spring. Almost thornless and extremely drought tolerant.
A large rambling type, Banksia Roses are ideal for covering a fence or bare wall, and will quickly smother the area with their long arching canes. Banksia Roses are largely disease resistant, very hardy and have almost thornless stems making them very easy to handle and prune. If required, prune in late Summer after the main flush of flowers is over; these plants flower on last season’s wood so pruning in Winter will mean an absence of flowers for the following season.
Likes well-drained soil and prefers full sun to part shade position.
Will benefit from feeding twice per year with complete plant food and liquid fertiliser.
